Another poem which struck a personal chord with me today, I was having a(nother) down day, questioning my appearance, my SELF…but this poem made me feel better – lOVE IT! xB

Kurt Rees

Too black,
too white,
too fat,
too skinny,
never being happy
with the skin we are in.
Always finding fault
in others
to make ourselves
feel better.

Too nice,
too mean,
too loving,
too hateful,
never being grateful
for having life.
Always striving to be better
than possible.

A wild coaster ride,
Loving someone special
one minute,
plotting their death
the next.
No matter
how much you hate
the way I look,
the way I love,
the way I ride life’s ride,
the one thing I know.
I am just like you.

So love me,
hate me,
spit on me,
or despise me.
I’m human,
and I hurt
just like you.
