I remember the first time I heard this quote. It was so freeing like an aha moment. Eye opening and freeing. Forgiveness is not about the other person it’s about releiving them of the ‘hold’ against you and freeing yourself. Although it is not always easy to remember.

Forgiveness isn’t about them, it’s about you not holding onto the hurt. Then you’re free!
