Employ Me

Employ Me (Photo credit: cole007)

I got offered the job 🙂

I met with her on Monday for a coffee to discuss (informally) my role and responsibilities etc and to get to know me a little better. We were there for 2 hours…and just chatted like we had known each other forever…about everything OTHER than the job lol. On parting she said she would give me a call in a day or 2 so I was unsure as to whether that was good or bad. I figured maybe she was meeting with a few of the candidates and then making her decision.

Well, she called me today and said ‘I left Monday feeling really good and like we really clicked…and then I realised I hadn’t at any point told you you’ve got the job…but I think it was pretty obvious at the time…so…lets meet next week to do all the boring paperwork and contracts etc’

The first job I applied for…The first interview I have had in YEARS….and they have offered it to me (Yay!)

No its not my dream job, its not anywhere near the same bracket of profession I would ultimately love to be in…BUT it’s a job, one I would like to try, one I feel I will enjoy with flexible hours and working alongside a really lovely girl. it’s a foot in the door and some extra pocket money J

Be proud and keep your fingers crossed that everything stays good for the contract signing malarkey

Well done B. I never doubted it. Always better to look for a job, when you already have one. New contacts, a few quid, and a sense of moving on. All good. As ever, Pete. X

Congratulations! That’s amazing that you got a job off the first interview. I’m guessing there was a happy dance at some point after your victory. 🙂
